Agreed that premium probably won't net you all that much. I would guesstimate that to make enough to cover your costs with ads, you'd end up putting more ads up than your aesthetic sense would prefer. I have no experience going this route,

Assuming the price difference is small, an employee could sell their C share on the market and immediately buy an A share.

Yes, it seems like the dataset is so small that one should just download the whole thing and periodically request diffs. Less total bandwidth for everyone, more reliable, and a nice user latency win as well.

Agreed with others that it's probably fake, but there I disagree that it's impossible. One of the slightly counter-intuitive things you learn when becoming a pilot is that you take off into the wind rather than with a tailwind. The wings

I looked over at my spam folder, found one of the emails that was filtered due to me marking a similar message spam, noticed that it was probably a mistake on my part and fixed it. Previously, there is just too much to pick through to find

I'm not sure that Google concentrates it's lobbying efforts to say anything one way or the other about Microsoft. It seems it's biggest efforts were in trying to prevent SOPA/PIPA.

I believe the ad was there already. Prior to this event, the first two links were to google.com/chrome if you counted ads, now one.

FWIW, this was the post that made me move my domains out from godaddy. Seems like it shows clearly that Godaddy's product is not high quality rather than just their company's stand on SOPA. I don't generally feel that I can sanely make all

For the average access point user, changing the SSID is probably the least difficult option. It also has the useful feature that it actually indicates the owner is the one taking the opt-out action, rather than someone else who can wardriv

Google is mapping publicly broadcast wifi access points to provide location services to augment GPS (faster locks for example) or when GPS is unavailable due to location or device. It's a very useful service - if you use a smartphone with

Nice, I came to the comments to see if someone knew how to calculate this. Related question. If there are exactly 2N people who vote in a binary election (ie: for presidential candidates) and they have an even 50/50% chance of voting eithe

Isn't this the same data stream that Microsoft is grabbing via most IE users? It's a big privacy violation, but not a major advantage for amazon.

The Monterey Aquarium is fantastic, but if you can get down there and do only one thing, just keep going south on Hwy 1. Aquariums are everywhere. Big Sur and the CA coast is pretty unique in the US.

In the screen shot in this article, you see some text with a link "Search instead for 'College or Uncollege?' above the results which takes you to the results for the original query. It's possible that the author didn't notice this though.
