Nate and team do modeling well. Fat tails, correlated populations, and they deal with the crap datasets they get from pollsters. I always tune into his podcast when an election rolls around.

Do you have a link to these strawmen?
641.
by greesil 4y ago
A link to their own opinions? Huh?

But not tiresome enough you keep engaging with the pretzly people :)

Yeah.... The HN crowd is composed of a variety of people, and there probably are lots that understand but don't post when they see obvious nonsense because we don't have the bandwidth. I only read the comments because I'm an

You may be right in the larger sense, but the word you're looking for is conceited, maybe. Megalomania: obsession with the exercise of power, especially in the domination of others

The author is spot on. Linear systems show up everywhere from EE to controls. I've never ever ever had to use a Wronskian, ode with non constant coefficients. Separation of variables is also a fundamental. The only thing I disagree wit

You're not wrong, I just can't figure out where. From a purely jobs standpoint, SV is an engineer's paradise. Yes, I know remote work is a thing.

And yet, I can't afford a house. I guess I'll go buy another Tesla.

Yeah but at least they're getting gigabit from an asshole, instead of 1.5 Mbps from an asshole.
