Just check your data after re-importing the passwords. LastPass sometimes has issues with the export (see elsewhere in this thread) and does not export attachments at all. You have to move attachments manually.

It is not caused by an always-on VPN, but by Tailscale. Having e.g. plain Wireguard enabled 24/7 doesn't cause the battery drain or the other issues Tailscale on iOS has. Unfortunately, Wireguard on iOS doesn't work very well

It also eats a lot of data, I recently had around 3gb eaten in a day just for maintaining the connection. On a metered mobile connection with 6gb/month a tad too much. I‘d really like to use it, but in this state it’s really unusable f

Yes, this is the back door, if you want to call it that. iCloud backups are not encrypted and contain key material.

I wouldn’t have expected Opus in the AirPods. Unexpected from Apple and a quite interesting workaround around the mode switching.

Pocket Cast has a silence removing feature, but in my opinion it's rather bad (on iOS at least). It was the main reason for me together with artefacts when speeding the playback up to change to another podcast player. Both Castro (whic

Even then, hole punching should get significantly easier, as you know the IPs and ports of both parties. Multi-layer NAT with port guessing is usually a nightmare when establishing a direct connection.

You can use just the metadata sync by them and sync the actual files with e.g. webdav or syncthing or whatever. That way it's free.

This is not true for Germany. All existing places are temporary or have failed. Exactly now a search for a geological storage is going on: (German only, sorry!) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endlagersuche_in_Deutschland

Space heaters are currently not feasible in Germany due to high electricity cost (which could be fixed by reducing taxes on electricity used just for heating). Nevertheless, the way forward are heat pumps anyway.

Migration exists: LastPass allows a csv export that 1Password can import easily. Just the attachments need to be move manually, as it seems.

I just switched due to their bad communication around this issue. The import through 1Password‘s website worked well, the import through the native mac application was horribly broken. Either way, beware that LastPass‘ csv export does not i
