In the conclusions section, there is reference to "three conjectures on how one might enhance energy- momentum to spacetime curvature coupling" - which might be shortened to something like "e-m gravity coupling", but tha

Trying to understand the weather from maps that just grey out Canada is like trying to figure out what's going on in a chess game if you can only see half the board.

Not sure they're talking about fry, there. With the vocal fry you can hear some serious hang time while the speaker grinds out that croaky noise. But this other thing sounds almost choked off, definitely not drawn out.

Location, location, location. Ceres, that's where you want to set up. Just enough gravity so you probably can't jump off it, lots of ice, a fair bit closer than Ganymede with easier take offs, convenient halfway between Mars and a

Once you tangle with it, you can't help but study it, learn what it looks like in all seasons, what kinds of places it likes to grow. It seems to like the sunny edges of clearings, and hard rocky places other plants reject. So naturall

It's good to recognize the vines that run up tree trunks as well. Easiest when they have leaves, but they don't always have leaves especially in shady areas. The bigger vines tend to have a hairy or bushy look, lots of little root

No two ways about it, you've got to learn to drive the ship. Trying to hold the center is nigh impossible. Also, the cannon has a short cool-down after 5 rapid shots, so you need to get that 1-2-3-4-5- pause cadence baked into muscle

But wouldn't the GPU help if you were mapping e.g. 256x192 virtual pixels to say 1024x768? I.e., each of the pixels from the low-res space being represented by a NxM patch of actual screen pixels, like a Win32 GDI StretchBlt() call. If

Commodity PCs back in the 80s and 90s didn't have error correction but they did have parity (iirc). Correction requires three extra bits per byte compared to parity only carrying one extra bit per byte. I recall around 1990 you could g
