I love this. I used to have a bunch of things that would benefit from a project like this.

I really want to try their ZFS Send offering but minimum buy in at 4TB for $60 a month isn't worth it yet to me.

I enjoyed Heardle because I'd like to say I'm good at identifying a lot of the songs. Unfortunate buyout/dump story.

I stopped using raspberry pis for this reason. A small form factor refurb PC suits what I am doing way better and I don't have to try to find ARM binaries for everything.

Sounds like this is working as intended for laptops of probably extralegal origin.

Ended up using this once for a short trip, but about a year later ended up getting a satnav device.

At least in ancient times back in 2004, while I was on Nellis AFB (North Las Vegas, NV) a large part of people stationed there would just go down to the strip or downtown. I remember a number of orientation briefings about addiction counsel

I'd really rather have a 'complete' story that was thought out more than a week in advance like some shows.

I worked with a Cray back in 2012 and the amount of engineering that goes into each rack and down to each blade is incredible. The biggest thing that got me was the geometry of the heatsinks that were designed to slightly compress air as it

Looks fun, but its on the other side of a continent and ocean for me to participate in.

Was mildly interested until the price. They need to reel that in a bit if they want to appeal to more of an audience.

I've started with this too. I'm at the "just give me the damn data and let me format it" phase.

Started switching from lz4 to zstd on my ZFS datasets and have seen good results so far. Good stuff.

Agree. Near a building under construction I was on my Boosted board riding along probably around 6-8 mph and couldn't see a water hose that was strung across the road, and went flying off. I was in protective gear and probably would ha

I got the waveshare ones for the pi 4 and they're really compact. Not sure if they would work with the rock64 though

Good call, I've had these Sonoff plugs run at 1000w for several days before (a big dehumidifier that maintenance put in to dry out a leak), but at "high" setting on the fan the inrush current goes to 15A, at medium the inrush

What ends up being ok for me in my apartment is an inexpensive 'dumb' space heater on a wifi plug and a room fan with a temperature sensor I made with an ESP32 on it all tied into home assistant to be a 'smart' thermosta

US carriers stopped charging for SMS around 2010 or thereabouts (cannot remember), or they included so much in the plan that it may as well have been free, so most people just stick with the convenience of not having to install another app

I use Akkoma ( https://akkoma.dev/AkkomaGang/akkoma/ ) for a single user instance, which is a fork of Pleroma, which is a lot easier to install and maintain. Mastodon was incredibly painful to upkeep.

I can think of several instances in the past where I wished I could have done this. Learning about screen back in 2007 was life changing.

I have seen a video of someone doing just this on a car. I'm not sure if it was a commercial product or if it was something they hacked together.
