The rewrite in Rust is mostly vanity and marketing but not based on a real technical need... So I don't see why they would want to do that.

What they nerfed the most is the basic feature of the PR diff view. It's only job is to display diff and review comments and it easily hide the diff for files that are a lit bit longer and hide comments when you have more than a dozen.

To give my best guess, I think that the change of default effort is unrelated to the major problems encountered by the users but that this was added big and first to cover up a little bit the huge failure of the 2 other ones. First thing yo

In addition with the bug, a big part of the issue is that this change was done secretly by Anthropic and not communicated to the users. If that was done, users could have been mindful of the change and figure out more easily that their prob

Sad to see Tim Cook leaving as I was enjoying this downtrend of Apple products that is driving users to more open (and better) solutions like Linux PCs. I cross fingers for John Ternus to still be greedy and not being too competent.

What annoys me the most with the proprietary side of Gemini and Claude is that you used to have the tokenizer (standard) and open sourced. So you could understand what was going on, how the model would understand/split the tokens. Now

A very simple alternative also would have to have provided a way to do a rollback to previous version until first complete boot after update at least. Would probably also cover for other kinds of problems.
