I’ll give that a try tomorrow! I normally put scrambled eggs in a cold pan and whisk while heating because either I’m a masochist, like creamy eggs, or both.

Stainless steel with some basic seasoning every once in a while (oil, high heat, it’s easy to do) has done me well for a long time. I do keep a non stick around just for eggs though, hard to beat.

You have a goal in mind here (cleaning up your automation server’s styling) so with that in mind, any reason why other options didn’t work? Or starting with something like tailwind which has all of the hyper-boring single property .text-lg&

If this is directly related to negligence at Okta or not (which seems like it’s not in this case) doesn’t really matter when “Okta” and “Data Breach” seem to show up close together in headlines a lot. Rough task for people tasked with holdi

I think people value their language being up-to-date enough to describe their own slice of human history MORE than how confusing it is for a new learner. Loan words/all new words/complex grammar rules brought into languages aren’t

My favourite CI/CD build discovery was `find .` (recursive file listing) being called after each step. (maybe like 12 total steps, 6 being the usual dependancy fetch, unit tests, smoke tests etc, and the other 6 being just this file li

I love the little rat mage! But talking about the tool itself, great idea! How I'm understanding it, this generates the equivalent to the homepage of a github repo. Well scoped, and I can imagine a few use cases for little tools here.

I won’t say my experience is either like you or the GP’s post. Average commute time here is maybe 10min - 1hr and yeah it probably involves a train. Not too many people living far away from their other colleagues, among the folks I know. Mo

Yep. I think the biggest source of "we could make this so much better!" re-writes I've seen in my career is in-house design system libraries. Just a big library of button styles and such. I've personally been responsible

This seems like a well done talk, but part of me is tired of the same information repeated again and again in different forms. I feel like I’ve already seen [0] [1] [2] this talk about 15min in. Details tag, input validation attributes, the

All of our tools at work use OneLogin SSO. No Github today. Does seem to be coming back though, looks like it's working here now but the load spike from everyone constantly retrying is causing issues.

Yes 100%. Plain text editing, especially with any sort of highlighting or parsing, is hard. But I'm also struggling to think of a common and modern "text editor" with high latency like that. When I think "text editor&quo

I can understand that! It’s kind of stupid that, for example, Galen Weston (the owner of one of Canada’s grocery store oligopoly members) will still get a cheque in the mail representing some infinitesimal chunk of his income. Same applies

Interesting, strict + static types in Rust isn't normally what most Rust people are proud of, it's normally the memory safety guarantees. The web isn't a hellscape, but I'm still hyped about WASM on here!
