The interesting thing is that the microcontroller in the Nano - Atmega328P - is really a massive overkill but for a wholy different reason: price. Even back in 2015 the AVR based Atmega328P was more expensive than quite a few Cortex M0 bas

Your arguments have persuaded me to give it a try. Though I'll go for dwl - a wayland alternative based on wlroots to dwm.

The main feature that you've described is called (usually) 'tags' (windows have one or more tags and workspaces/viewports also have tags and a viewport displays all windows which have at least one of the viewport's

I sorely lack subscriptions/watches managment in Gitea. I'd like to be able to get a list what i'm watching and filter it on repo, author, type (issue/pr), and reason like I very often do in github. There is also no sess

OpenSCAD is just a generator. You cannot query generated or imported geometry in any way. Not even calculate bounding box which can come handy if you want to place something on top of your model etc.. Equally big problem is schizma between

CadQuery is very nice except for its DevOps side. Its whole build system for producing Conda packages (some may consider Conda problem in itself) is super-dependent on Azure pipelines. Even bigger problem is that it's riddled with hard

It's not about reusing values. It's about reusing whole complex designs. I know that there is some very very new feature called Variant link but I haven't managed to comprehend it yet.

I have a big conceptual problem with these interactive editors: I'm a programmer and am very used to splitting things into functions and objects which can be then called with / have different parameters and be composed into anothe

Heavy Nix user here. Since month two I've been using flakes for everything: In projects to holds packages and devshells together with inputs locked via lock files, for holding system configuration, raspberry pi images, nixpkgs overlay

Thisss! I'm very disappointed that most people seriously misunderstand what Nix is. Some calls it just another package manager and others dare to call it another Docker... while i'm screaming in horror internally .

My experience with Arch from 2015 to 2018 was too rock solid on Thinkpad. (I gave up on Arch for completely different reasons than stability.)

Hm... the flakes are still experimental. I wonder when they are going to be finally not marked as such. I switched to them exclusively (removed all nix channels) and haven't had any troubles yet.

Oh no. Somebody has already created flakes for CQ :( But also oh yeah, somebody has crated flakes for CQ! (and it seems I was only 1/2 ~ 2/3 way there anyway)

I feel you. (Un)fortunately for me CQ is important enough because OpenSCAD and similar are not CADs... they are just simple generators without an ability to reference, use already drawn things. Whereas CadQuery has the main feature which
