Well thanks to using rclone and gmvault (even though it is dead project it still keeps backing up my email) I am hoping it would be very minimal data loss. I also use borg back up every day on my backups so that I keep data for a fairly lon

Like the author I have also been very happy with Borg backup software ( https://www.borgbackup.org/ ). The compression and de-duplication is very useful. A little bit of a learning curve to get everything up and running, bu

Makes me think of one of my personal rules when traveling. If I am needing help, I don't take it from someone who approaches me. I just say, no thank you. If I need help, I pick someone randomly and ask for help. The likelihood that th

I've seen multiple articles mention $35 minimum order. For example: https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2020/09/01/amazon-prime... If that isn't true then they aren't getting their m

I just don't see how this will compete with Amazon or Amazon Prime. You only get free shipping with orders $35 or more. I haven't checked recently but I thought you get that at Amazon without paying for Amazon Prime.

I live in the US and use Wago lever nuts. Agree that they aren't common but they are easily purchased on Amazon and other sites. And electrical supply houses can usually get them too.

I'll disagree for my personal preference. I'm not a fan of small keyboards. I really enjoy having my 104 key buckling spring keyboard. So to me it is nice to see a laptop with a numpad as I like having mine. I was seriously consid

Who said security was a "very simple process"? It is of course up to people if they want to enable additional security and of course have to put up with increased friction and difficulty. Myself I consider what would it mean if so

Hopefully they will have already activated a couple U2F hardware tokens as backup. Having only one copy of the MFA device is of course a bad idea.

Well the best in my opinion is Yubikey from Yubico. Though not the $20-$25 version which is only U2F, it is still good but not the best. The Yubikeys do more than just U2F, they also support storing 32 TOTP codes, PGP keys, and other things

Maybe invest in a couple of U2F tokens that you can keep on a keychain or at home.

Gitlab allows you to have multiple U2F tokens. From what I can tell it is is at least 10. I myself probably own eight U2F tokens. Anyone of the U2F tokens I have registered can be used to log me into Gitlab, assuming I remember my username&
