Some 3rd party UIs offer this, I use typingmind sometimes that does but AFAIK some open source ones do too.

Íslenskur? :D IMO using string templating for creating structured data in a white-space sensitive configuration language always ends with pain and cursing beyond the most basic application manifests. I'm not saying Terraform or HCL is

At a previous employer they were using helmfile. I don't remember what exactly I needed to do but I needed a value to be templated by helm _after_ helmfile had done its work (iirc) and ended up having to write along the lines of "

The first, yes. The second, you can do this by setting certain options in the systemd service for your apps, but this is true for any systemd distro.

I'm not one for preaching about software :p I thought I'd miss the infinite extendability of neovim with all my plugins and such but it didn't end up mattering to me and it was quite freeing actually to be just bound to what

I used to also use i3 and later sway and I noticed I only ever tiled my terminals. I don't really remember why but I started using tmux (with tilish) and I liked that I can detach and reattach to sessions later. But at that point I

I read this article a while ago and it seems like the most sane way of dealing with this. Which tool you use to render the manifests doesn't even matter anymore.

IMO the pull request should be the diff. https://akuity.io/blog/the-rendered-manifests-pattern/

Funnily enough I used to use i3 and later sway until I realized I just full screened everything (on different workspaces) except terminals. Now I just use gnome and attach to a long running tmux session where I split panes to replicate my o

In that case I'm assuming something went wrong when I sent the application as I never got anything back from you. I just sent it again so hopefully this time it'll be different :)

I applied last month for the infrastructure engineer positive as it sounds really exciting but haven't heard anything back yet.

This was also a concern of mine. Not knowing too much about aerodynamics I can't be certain but I think some airflow should be going through the hole. You may also have noticed that the screw standoff for the SSD is pushed as far out t

It was mentioned in the post but from what I could gather from the schematic I drew up of the existing circuit it's load switches for each power rail with slow starters, made with only discrete components. Instead of recreating all tha

That would be too loud imo :p I started using hd-idle to spin down the drives when idle for 30 minutes even. I do however run my system with root on tmpfs and have various data persisted on the SSD.

Oh that annoyed me so much back when I was getting into Arduino and had an uno. Just take the atmega 328p out and solder it to a perfboard! Thanks!

Not mentioned in the post but I also run some light server workloads on this machine and things were annoyingly slow with a USB 2.0 thumb drive. I'm not gonna pretend that the real reason for making this wasn't because I have fun

I don't know if it's equipment or a skill issue but I had trouble with putting an even amount of solder on the pads this way. I have seen this approach on YouTube.

It worked for me 8 times :) Thankfully the bottom pad on DFN packages reach the edge on 2 sides and I would think this technique wouldn't work with QFN.
