Even if that's the case, how does that make it a dry cleaning "desert"? I only care if I can get my clothes cleaned quickly and I've never had any problem with that.

> These parasites wiped out the network of local dry cleaners, in particular in SF. Huh? I’ve never had an issue finding a dry cleaning shop in SF and there’s tons that pop on Google maps - hardly seems like a dry cleaning “desert”.

So out of 400 pages, Grossman only devotes part of one page to the fact that the entire basis of the book is probably fraudulent? That doesn’t seem very reassuring.

The core research that "On Killing" was based on (S.L.A. Marshall’s "ratio of fire") was probably fabricated[1]. I'd treat any claims in the book with a lot of skepticism. [1] From https://www.gwern.net&#

Why stop there? Trains are only necessary because the density isn’t high enough to walk everywhere. We wouldn’t need them if everyone just lived in the cube[1]. [1] https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/03/7-3-billion-people

This is incorrect, just looking at the M2 promotional materials the DRAM is quite clearly a separate component[1]. The DRAM modules are combined with the M2 in a single package though, maybe that's what you're thinking of? [1] ht

Well for one, Tesla never applied. Tesla has long argued it doesn’t need a permit to operate FSD since it’s a “driver-assist” feature and not autonomous[1]. But maybe you’re referring to some other kind of approval? [1] See page 16 of http

Surprised this isn’t getting more attention. Waymo is likely to get a permit for paid service as well (my guess is within a year) meaning one of the largest ride hailing markets will likely have two competing AV services pretty soon. That’s

You’re in luck because that’s exactly what happened over the last 20 years and it’s had basically no affect on the increase in obesity[1]. I’m curious, does this information change your belief at all? [1] https://marginalrevoluti

If we were to decrease per capita sugar consumption by, let’s say, 15%, would you expect obesity to decrease?

I don't know if there's anywhere that goes through and categorizes who's at fault, but you can look at the collision reports from the CA DMV. E.g. the report from March 9th: > The Waymo AV was stopped in traffic, eastbound

What government officials are you referring to? These are disclosures made to the DMV, so obviously they have access. Maybe you mean the court? But they have access too as part of the lawsuit... so I'm not sure what you're talking

You can, today, order a car and go to sleep in the back for 20 min while it drives you to your destination and get out with no intervention. Can you explain how that matches up with your analogy?

Couple points: 1) Are you aware of the existing C++11 attribute syntax[1]? You can replace __stdcall with [[gnu::stdcall]], for example. 2) The only function-level keywords in your example are noexcept, const, and inline. Of those, noexcept
