I'm not sure what the takeaways from this article were. I feel like the incredibly short article was more a tautological executive summary of code axioms.

I've been too lazy to fix the NGINX redirects for some of the subdomains so you might get bounced back to the homepage accidentally sometimes. https://wizardsoftheweb.pro

That's what I took away from the article as well. It's installed via a VBScript file. Edit: I'm also not able to find any other record of it (yet). Everything links to the OP link or analysis on the OP link.

This isn't paywalled Medium content so you can simply find the close button and click it, be it on the sliding banner or the modal. That being said, that action does require an extra click.

Comparing the code samples, it looks like it's easier to spin up testing with Httpx than Flask, but that's a superficial conclusion. I don't have experience with Httpx so take this with a grain of salt. Based on the compariso

I use the bullet journal system to take meeting notes. It's more personal as the things I track are important to me. I try to process information and jot down things I need to remind, my tasks, and add questions to follow up on. https

Thanks! That makes sense. I appreciate you taking the time to break all that down.

So the issue is the block? I make a blocking call and another app attempts to make a call during the block and will fail if it's not expecting to wait? Is that (one of) the problem(s)? Thanks for breaking that down for me!

So is GnuPG bad because it reads directly from /dev/random instead of using an interface like getrandom()? I'm naive enough to not know reading directly from /dev/random is bad and would love to know more.

I abandoned the project because I couldn't find a reasonable solution using standard Go libs that worked in a reasonable timeframe. The bottleneck is this function. math/big.addMulVVW There was some work on it recently. https:&#x

I too got started pre-tidyverse. I've done some minor analysis the last two years and been blown away by how easy it is to get up and running with that code. Way easier than it used to be. I actually bumbled my way through building a s

I ran into a speed issue last year messing around with Go RSA keys. Turns out it's an open bug. Even though fixes have been made (see links in the thread), it's not a global fix and Go ciphers can be absysmally slow. https:/

I'm not a fan of the title, which is rather clickbaity. The author addresses that in the article near the bottom. > To be fair, I have absolutely no clue what the $86M figure includes — nor can I speak to the accuracy of my open sou

Having grown up below the poverty line, I'll double down on my original point as well. Most people don't work in tech and most people get screwed. The idea behind minimum wage is to provide all the necessities to everyone, be it h

From personal experience I've seen it mostly pulled out as a solution to an XY problem. Normal text tags give you the text cursor. If you don't want the text cursor, why not disable selection? The proper solution is to just apply

I feel like this list is skewed by cost of living. The top four cities are also very expensive cities to live in and around. 200k in the bay area is scraping by whereas 100k in the Austin area gets you a house in a reasonable amount of time

Frankly the cost in the US isn't necessarily worth it anymore. I've been a Netflix user since 2008/2009. Back when no one took VoD seriously, the catalogue was huge. You could actually get lost trying to find something becaus

I worked at a startup in 2015 that did something similar. Using an NLP called Yseop, we wrote sports articles. The team consisted of me on backend, a journalist writing the Yseop code, a technical writer building the story trees, and a data

I feel like Outer Worlds is a successor to Fallout 1 and 2. i felt like it was mostly about the story and not about the open-world freedom that the games from Fallout 3 onward have provided. That's not to say it's bad game. I thin
