I’ve read about these concerns but my kid is 11 and on there all the time, often with me over her shoulder, and I’ve never seen any sign of it. It’s a huge platform for kids so I’m sure there are some creeps but there are plenty of controls

Same in Canada, we got a rare regulator win some time ago, much to the chagrin of our draconian carriers. Number portability too.

Because they don't make much on the device payments, as opposed to the bloated plan fees.

Yeah, or you spread the regular retail price over X months with no interest and the carrier takes the manufacturer subsidy. The real catch is that they typically require you to be on a high end non-BYOD plan, which keeps going up every year

“ I chose React for EUI, but the consuming codebase (Kibana) was Angular. We made the decision to convert Kibana to React too, but there was a temporary period where we mounted React components inside of Angular.” This is my life right now.

I think people underestimate the rate of progress of technology but overestimate the time it takes the world to adapt to it. AI is progressing rapidly but it won’t change the world overnight.

Mostly agree but this does give me an idea: having a sound that indicates a change you just made to a line caused an issue with an offsceeen line. For example deleting the last usage of a variable declared higher up. Of course there are alr

This man is a true hero …to liars everywhere. He lied, he forged documents, he filed suits. Most people will never go to these lengths to back up their lies, no matter how big the potential windfall. You have to respect the dedication if no

I wonder if they would worry about that being used as cover though. Make that call for a place you’re about to do something illegal in so the popo stays away.

I can understand sending cops based on a phone call - better safe than sorry - but being handcuffed and hauled away should require the cops to have seen something when they got there. No one should be detained solely based on an anonymous t

yeah my S5 finally dropped below 80% earlier this year and it was nearly unusable by that time. Even now with a fresh battery it's still a lot more battery management than I'd prefer.

Watch App for Tesla is also great in that it can act as a key, so you even get prox unlock with your Watch. A few times I've forgotten about this, went to get something from the car without my phone, and been puzzled why the car unlock

I wish they would let us customize low power mode and other features to tailor battery life. I'd trade battery life for less frequent heart rate readings, for example.
