I get the feeling that the startup predictor is just a marketing gimmick to garner some press and that more useful services will be coming... It's certainly not a bad way to get people to talk about their company and register on their site.

I doubt that making an idea public online will make it unpatentable, but regardless, an idea sharing and discussion community would be cool. There is an idea sharing subreddit that's fairly popular: http://www.reddit.com/r/idea/

Cool, I'll have to give this a try. While the microblogging space is pretty crowded, I think the basic microblogging framework (short messages, ability to follow friends, mobile support, etc) could be re-purposed to do some other cool stuff

Nicely designed and the idea / usefulness is communicated well. Lack of registration requirement is cool. But doesn't tumblr allow posting via email?

Actually they appear to be caching the pages, which is how they are able to detect what is highlighted (otherwise it would be cross domain scripting). So they could just have their caching script strip out that JS and problem solved. I imag

It doesn't offer much over last.fm except that it finds full length songs. You might be able to get some traction if you offered a widget people could place on their blogs, myspace, facebook, etc.. What music search engine are you using? Se

It seems that this differs from Y-combinator in that "innovators" and "strategists" apply separately and parter up later on during the program after meeting each other and finding suitable matches.
