The weather is nicer in Southern California, but you pretty much need a car to get around. SF is only seven miles wide, so you can pretty much get anywhere in the city within a couple hours on foot. I assume that makes things like collect

The creepiness factor aside, I'm trying to imagine how you'd implement a system to keep track of 1.3 billion people via face recognition. The hardware demands alone are mind boggling.

We drink about 30% less alcohol than the Brits and the French (who drink about the same amount).

In my high school one of the girls left one of those magnifying makeup mirrors in the passenger footwell of her car. It was a hot day, so she cracked the windows a bit. Hours later as we were eating lunch the sun struck the mirror at just

You can't go into a building in California without seeing a sign warning about carcinogens, so you tune them out. I have no idea how you're supposed to know if there's something truly dangerous.

Sure, even Musk will admit SpaceX wouldn't have survived without financial help (in the form of contracts) and facilities use from NASA. But in terms of actual technology... not the turbopumps, certainly, unless your logic is "the

Yes. There's a heck of a lot you could do with AR nobody's done yet. On the other hand, if you get into that business now you're in direct competition with the likes of Google and Apple.

Governments are not moral. It's not really even a concept that applies. And to single the US out for this kind of stuff is kind of silly. Every country with the means to do so spies on other countries. http://www.spiegel.
