In my experience that is to some extent a logical assumption though. Most doctors will "fix" you to the best of their ability, it's the life quality issues you really have to fight for.

While I'm a fan of exposing the absurdity of SV, I also think we have reached the point where any such attempt will, similar to war and business movies, also have the opposite effect.

I don't know what this idea of that you have to compete fairly with Silicon Valley comes from. The US and SV success comes from looking out for their own interests and doing what they are good at. That includes cultural influence, agre

Apple wasn't the biggest problem for the mobile phone industry though. They made an early bet on technology that wasn't mature yet and while they had some head start, partly due to aggressive business practices, other companies we

Not, what I can see, because of 4chan nor because of 4chan culture. By comparison, I know numerous people that started with BBSes, got involved in the demoscene, went on to work for and/or start games companies.

Don't miss to click around a little (but probably not too much) on the D forum. It's super fast, but also somewhat annoying (at least in chrome) since it flashes when reloading. Is there a write up somewhere of the stack (etc.) be

The legacy of mediums like Usenet isn't jokes but companies, applications, organisations etc. If you grew up during the heyday of Usenet (or BBSes, IRC, some forums, mailing lists) you had a pretty good chance of going on to do somethi

The great thing about (at least the Swedish) 2+1 roads is that not only do you avoid accidents with oncoming traffic when overtaking, but since you can now put a railing in the middle, you also avoid accidental head-on collisions. Which is

It's an opinion. It would be very tedious to preface everything with "I think". It seem very common here to ask that everything be backed up if you don't agree with it, but don't ask the same thing if you do. Instea
