This is one of the many reasons that the Ambition (YC) team is in Chattanooga. I am from Tennessee myself. Chattanooga is a nice place. You can literally buy a home ( http://bit.ly/1tvb9ta ) for what folks in SF send on rent

I hope this becomes reality. I would use it, I would also be happy to pay about twice the price y'all are asking.

I have had Aline Lerner reach out to me as a recruiter before. She is one of the best. She worked hard to find great matches.

ProTip: I just called AT&T today and asked when my contact ended, because I was considering going to T-Mobile. A few minutes later they offered me the approximately the service for half the cost.

This is awesome, I want one. Until then, for folks that can afford there are some really great ~$50 usb microscope web cams. I have this one http://j.mp/usbmicroscope , it is UVC compliant and works on Ubuntu/OS X/

For my use it is just arbitrary. SimpleCV does have the ability to calibrate cameras, which should give you what you want.
