You might be able to interface Mechaduino or MKS controllers between your steppers and drivers to make them pesudo-closed loop. They still get driven by step+dir however the position is continuously integrated by the controller and stepper

Listening to yourself on a 20ms delay is a far different thing than listing to someone else on the same delay. The latter is what you experience in every day life all the time as sound travels about 1ms/foot. The former causes a ne

AMSAT articles about this always kind of bug me. They make it sound like this is really difficult, but has the cool payoff that you can listen to/ talk to astronauts! Unfortunately both of these assumptions are far from reality. For an

Small variants/extensions of mobile GPUs have been shoehorned to work with existing drivers or provide very basic framebuffer capability. This isn't exactly vulkan running on Apple-silicon level of functionality. Maybe Apple'

I am all about the hacker cred here, but you need only take a look at the most directly comparable project, Nouveau to get an idea of how ridiculous the thought is that greenfield reverse engineering of apple's custom GPU will result i

Apple needs to give a little here. I think it's patently ridiculous that we have to enlist the assistance of console hackers in order to have a chance at porting the most used operating system in the entire world to run on hardware tha

Can’t legislate from the bench. But there already is a subtext here. If one could license iOS for this, what they are doing here probably wouldn’t fall under fair use. Instead it could fall under the terms of Apple’s own license agreement.

Binary, ocatal and hexidecimal literals often are indicated with prefixes: 0b, 0 and 0x respectively. There are probably other esoteric cases that I can't think of off the top of my head. "Qty" is often prefixed, for instance

Awesome; this is great to hear. An idea you might consider is to display some kind of warning symbol or message if the input contains digits or operands which are not interpreted as part of the calculation that produces the output. This wou

Love this, but the lack of interpretation of prefixed currency symbols is absolutely maddening! That it simply ignores the number and operand with no indication that these elements are ignored could easily lead to problems. I don't thi

The author of that article seems to be conflating GPU support somehow with GUI apps. GPU support is indeed coming to WSL2 and is available currently in Insider builds along with a special release of the Nvidia driver and some Linux support
