I also heard those rumors, though not all my FB friends are working on a 996 schedule. Would have been helpful if there is a survey for this.

Actually, I should have catch up a bit about what brave is. For those who have just heard about this like me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG981gXqdU4

This seems to be bypassing all the ads in YT? Basically we can get Youtube Premium for free here? Wondering what's the legal implication for brave.com to make such as app? edit: I could be completely over thinking this.

We actually tried that route (i.e. using a branch) before deprecating the project. Instead, the infra team told us something like the branch can only live for about 6 month before they have to deprecate the toolchain that supports the branc

[DISCLAMER: I used to work at Google in general, but not at Google Cloud] I'm not sure whether this has been discussed here before, but I'd love to take this forum to share an angle from the tech side of things: IMO, Google is _cu

Yeah, sounds like natural next step. But building a game console ecosystem turns out to be 10x harder than building the hardware itself.

Honestly speaking, the problem with Apple TV is that chips like A12 are such a overkill for TV box use cases. I recently purchased a $30 Roku and find it has almost 99% of the features that an Apple TV would have (including airplay2). Yes,

I guess "steal" means that it's a more advanced way of "copying", i.e. you can get away with grabbing others' idea without being noticed and can still be considered as "original". To do that, one need

I'm afraid lots of comments are missing the key point in the original post: Do not conflate “the best you can” with “perfect”. The advice is not about perfection, but challenge YOURSELF to do the best you within the constraints such a

Unfortunately , “ease of use” and “one tool fits all” are a pair of conflicting features. Unity really does a fantastic job in this regard. Ultimately, well resourced team may choose to develop their own engine for the flexibility.

Disclaimer: I moved to US from China about 10 years ago. "China knows they are being spied" -> Not sure govt public admitting spying and censorship is a good thing at all. It sets a vert bad example for the rest of the country

I sort of (very cynically) like FB's statement: "Sorry, invading your privacy is just our business model." At least it's honest.

There seems to be a tons of critics on Zoom in the privacy and data privacy domain recently, wondering whether it will indeed have meaningful impact on the usage rate on the product itself.

First thing first, this is science, not politics. Everyone wants a drug and vaccine, but good science takes time to happen. Make no mistake, no one wants a lock down, but so far, it's the only option in the lack of a functional medical

Apologize if I didn't make my idea clear enough. Seems there are two topics here: 1. being able to use a camera & 2. being able to conceal a camera. My originally argument is focusing on point 1: people can already _use_ smartphone
