Consider the fact that the small banks offer an perceived or real 'better' service. What that tells you about the market is the big banks are lazy and not competitive. So naturally the next step is to get big, beat them on service

Well, you do have a few mega-corporations owning a lot of the land, or at least making big attempts to. The Saudis growing alfalfa in the US desert are a good example of that. It would make more sense for many of those smaller banks to merg

Just moving past all of that, isn't this just a priority queue, where friends share the same priority as you?

Did you get raised reading only economic and game theory texts? Real people in the real world don't have as much agency as you'd like to think. Sometimes you take the job that you can get. See Amazon warehouse workers.

I agree, the hype of auto pilot was that it really was magically autonomous. But it's not. It's just fancy lane assist and you still have to pay attention. There's no jumping in the car drunk and getting it drive home.

I agree with this, I recently had a pretty long network issue with our CI system and for the most part we just reran scripts or converted ci yml into scripts. I like CI for secrets management, scrpted pipelines and deploying. And having one

I don't understand the appeal of a massive electric truck. Why won't someone make a Bugatti model 39, with electric hub motors and 200km of range. I would have that as a daily driver any day.

Well China may have a HSR. But it's sort of bankrupt on arrival outside of the main metro's. China has the luck in this scenario of being free of oversight, and able to create it's own money. Most western Infrastructure isn&#

That tag line isn't for you. It's for aging C-suite exec's who like fancy sounding words. As for not going down. Meh, at least you don't have to do on-call for it. That's kind of half the point of paying for SaaS. A

Don't worry, the petroleum moguls actions may just negate the long term impact of AGI on humanity anyway. Ie Cliamte Change will beat them to the "kill all humans" phase of AGI.

It's all because of change control. The moment you have to deal with it as a non central IT dev or upskilled BA, you hate the experience and then start getting creative with the tools you've got. And then 20 years happens.
