Neat, but hard to access, considering the screen shots. Has anyone copied/pasted that in repl.it and tried it out ?

I found the original Mac, or the DR GEM icons (e.g. on Atari ST) even more utilitarian (could one call them 'brutalist' ?) and may I say 'pleasant'. In that vein, sometimes I wish for a desktop that is grayscale except f

Anecdata: Mint has been working quite well for me for about a year, including during a few trips to Europe. I believe pricing gets even a tiny bit better if you buy service for a whole year at once.

Just as anecdata, my neighbor, working at NASA (Moffett) seems to be on furlough.

Nice writeup. Would be great to have a traditional blog-like version of it, the twitter feed is somewhat painful to read.

Does LUKS provide plausible deniability via hidden volumes like Veracrypt does ? I imagine that this is important for the use case.

A slightly different headline would be "Navy has lousy security practices especially regarding contractors" I'm pretty sure the CIA and NSA do their utmost to spy as much as they can on the Chinese and Russian Navy.

I wonder how Google can possibly enforce this restriction. At best, it can yank oauth tokens from companies that misbehave AFTER that misbehaviour is made public. Better than nothing, I guess, but I don't believe that will help Google&

You might still get a letter from some law office to tell you about the violation and a hefty bill for providing this service. I suggest familiarizing yourself with the concept of "abmahnung" in Germany. Quite a racket.
