SatNOGS is awesome. I'd like to use it for experimenting with bouncing radio off the moon and maybe us a few Amateur Radio satellite repeaters. I really wish someone would sell a kit or preassembled tracker for us lazy people.

Good points. According to OP, the goal would be to persuade FB to back off crawling at 300 qps, not to bring down the FB crawl. Having each request expand to 1GB is probably already enough to do that, since a crawler implementing the mitiga

Here is another article: https://www.blackhat.com/docs/us-16/materials/us-16-Marie-I-... If FB supports brotli, a much bigger compression factor than 1000 is possible, apparently.

I believe, but have not tried, that you can craft zipped files that are small but when expanding produce multi-gigabyte files. If you can sufficiently target the bad guys, you can probably grind them to a halt by serving only them these fil

Awesome (on MacOS Chrome)! Really neat what you can do with CSS. And thanks for the shoutout for Al Jaffee! BTW: Does anyone know if there's an archive of the german mad magazine ? The translation is an experience in itself, and while

I feel a good or maybe the best way to eke our an edge for the US, China or whoever would be to create a good simulation platform and offer a great SaaS platform, maybe like kerbal space program, and let anyone compete. Then learn from the

They are all very nice. I really only need to capture new things on mobile for the most part, so my needs are minimal. What holds me back, however, is not supporting Google Drive for synchronization, as I use that anyway. As is, I would hav

The site has artifacts every now and then when they push new data. E.g., there are sometimes blobs in the middle of the ocean south/west of africa (I assume 0'w 0'n or null island) where unclassified results are stashed (&quo

Well, hypothetically speaking, a state might have secretly mass vaccinated it’s population against its engineered bioweapon(eg hidden in tdmr vaccine). But I agree many things might go wrong with such a scheme. More of a plot device for bon

I think it's about 19K "SPECIMEN" tested, not people. Maybe 8K people tested as of today, but only <1K people tested until about a week ago. So, yes, I think claiming the US had widespread testing is stretching the truth b
