Regarding the dropdowns in the top down, they are only smooth if you have a new computer. It's not a smooth experience on my Late 2013 Macbook Pro and the fans kick in.

Judging by the comments, I could be in a minority, but to me this version feels slower. There is a noticeable lag before first paint of the page. This is specially visible if you have a fast site. I was able to click through links on the si

I agree, but this is not always possible. I was in the market for a new TV set couple of months ago and all the models with a great image technology come with the "smart tv" built in. It is not possible to buy a high-end panel wit

Looks nice. Search could be a little better. For example "getting started" did not return any results but the page with the same title exists.

It looks like your VPN provider does not isolate traffic between clients connected to the same server. That is pretty bad, security vise.

Which VPN provider are you talking about? Are you sure that it is not just NTP servers being served via DHCP once the connection is established and your computer trying to use those provided by your VPN?

I understand your point, I just hijacked your comment to voice my frustration about current trends. I tried checking the actual size of the JS being loaded, but since the site for an article I opened made over 500 requests to load the page

I realize that this could be considered lightweight by today's web standards, but to me this is still huge.

I am not sure if it relates, but this happens to me on some pages. If I turn off all styles (CSS), then the CPU usage drops to 0. In my case, CSS is the culprit because the same page does this on Chrome as well.

They can write whatever they want in their T&C but that doesn't mean that it would stand up in court. IANAL and there could be something different in the UK legal system from the rest of the EU.

I use both. uBlock Origin catches pre-roll ads on YouTube as well as some other things that Ghostery lets through.

There are a couple of reasons: * If you need to change your location (country) often, the apps usually have a dropdown where you select the country you wish to connect to * It's easier to setup, especially for novice users * They can h

There is no anonymity if you roll your own. The whole idea of VPN providers is that a lot of users have a connection to the same server so it's hard to monitor who talks to who.
