More importantly I wouldn't be surprised if OpenAI's top talent is poached by Google/Facebook. Or are there some contracts that explicitly forbid this? I think such contracts would be illegal no?

I don't think it is hesitation. They probably just do not have results that are comparable, yet. In that case it is better to not release anything than release results that show that your model is 1/4 as good as that of your compe

Probably not. I do not think they have much in terms of trade secrets. Now that they showed what can be achieved it is only a matter of time, before other teams catch up. I would be surprised if they hold their lead for more than 5 years.

I don't understand people who keep 120 tabs open at a time. What's the point? Your mind cannot keep track of that anyway, so just use bookmarks.

I am an atheist who grew up Catholic and I find I am incompatible with a lot of the secular world, when it comes to important values to live by. For example, what is marriage, what is love, what is the meaning/value of sex, to what ext

You are right. You are only eligible to be in a seminary if you're not married (ok exceptions exist, but then you cannot be a priest) and so long as you are not married you are not supposed to have sex.

PDFs are easier to view on mobile than most websites containing the same range of content. Basically any graphic on a website is poorly displayed on mobile.

Rich people (and not only them) already do much more than this. We all select the best mates we can get our hands on. The gain from this kind of gene editing is likely much smaller than simply having a bunch of kids with a very genetically

Can you elaborate on what it means to court a woman?

Most men who have problems in this area are not going on dates. They are not even meeting women. I do not think it has much to do with hobbies.

If you have many women as friends you are doing something good and bad at the same time. The good is that you can meet women and can interact with them and can get them to trust you. The bad is that you somehow give off all the wrong signal

Comments like these get tiring. Not only do young men have to suffer in silence but now they have to read stupid comments like this which are nothing more than gaslighting. The men in those horror stories that you mentions are not the ones

The hardware resources are there. I for example have access to clusters with hundreds of A100. The engineering resources are not though. The work has to either be done by the Phds themselves or by student workers. Phds don't have enoug

I think it is mostly people who are invested ($$$) in Lithium batteries who are so loud. It is honestly annoying. Hydrogen (also including power-to-gas, e-fuels, Ammonia) is the only technology of its kind that we have; a way of storing ene
