I would be interested to know from anyone at the Office/Outlook team why they went with what they did, and if they had any awareness of MAUI happening at all. Fully agree with the noted benefits, so any non-MAUI team insight would be r

They already have MAUI. I don't have direct professional experience with it, but the message I'm getting from those who have used it, is that it's cumbersome. With people instead just sticking with XF/Uno/Avalonia (

I want to push back on this idea, but I relate to the undesired effect. The catch is that this undesired effect is a necessity to then becoming able to express oneself in that format. It's frustrating and most people quit at this part,

Yeah most of it stems from the asset marketplace. If you look at Unreal's marketplace or Unity's asset store and sort by top seller (and especially the free categories), you'll probably find exactly the things that you'r

Actually I think both cancer and plastics needs to remain as jargon for their respective fields, and instead media should focus on specifying the important elements that are easily digestible to the public and also not too wide reaching. So

Github isn't the only git host. So in this example you would be specifically wanting to play with other github users. Many have made it their thing to avoid Github entirely.

If a protocol can be broken in such shallow ways as starving out the network, it's badly designed. If users refuse to leave after a company switches protocols so manipulatively, it's because they don't care about the protocol

If a protocol can be "effectively owned" that quickly by an outside corporation, it's not a very good protocol especially if one of its core tenets is decentralizing access to social content.

That question is debated, and for good reason. I'm a fan of the limitations based on market cap and valuations. We really have done a terrible job at upholding Sherman's Antitrust act, instead allowing the very thing it was attemp
