On a kubernetes cluster you can run external-dns, which always runs in the cluster and watches for new Ingress records routing traffic on a certain domain. And then external-dns will go manage Route53 DNS records (also works with the goog).

Hesitant why? It's pretty darned good. Kubernetes also has a Secret abstraction, but you probably don't want to start setting up Kubernetes just for secret storage. Vault is good at that.

Good point. Maybe a hybrid then where by default everyone delegates their vote to a representative, but at any point you can re-allocate your vote to a different representative for any given issue, or vote on a single issue.

To what extend do you all think state-wide direct democracy is a way to improve things? i.e. move a lot of the powers of the representative bodies that have gerrymander-able districts like this to systems where individuals can vote directly

It's just you. Or rather, next.js uses React Components. You can write those as pure functions or you can write them as classes to have more fancy features (e.g. setState, lifecycle hooks)
