I think anything that faces the internet needs extreme caution. I've done enough pentesting myself to see that mistakes are abound and most of them are logic problems.

Nintendo dominated last generation with switch. The games were only HD and many at 30fps. Some AAA didn't even get ported to them. But they sold a ton of units and a ton of games and few complained because they were having fun which is

Given how much more favored ECDSA and ECDH is these days, i recommend teaching elliptic curves. They're actually quite simple to understand mathematically if you want a shallow comprehension.

CVE are important but there’s also a lot of theatre there. How many are known exploitable? Most aren’t if you follow threat intel. Most of the Internet infrastructure is running c/c++ and is very safe.

Grad students and even post docs often do a lot of this manual labour for data entry and formatting. Been there, done that.

Many arguing in favor of tarrifs note that it is not a free market. China is definitely playing to dominate with government assistance deep in the supply chain on up.

The author literally said gpt is spending 10x more for equivalent. This really means ChatGPT had that intelligence at that cost a year or two ago. Smaller domain models are better at focused tasks in that area but can’t be generalized.

LLM to me are the least interesting part of AI. Deep learning has proven very useful for signal processing and image segmentation among other things. Those are small enough to run on phones. LLM simply don’t seem to be that useful at small
