There are PAM croup and namespace modules to limit resource use and isolation on Linux-based systems. Obviously they're using the same bases as containers.

Yes in the research computing world (HPC and similar systems, and some other sorts of shared resource) at least. On Linux-based machines you can limit resources otherwise, via PAM, or startup of interactive sessions in a distributed resour

The energy resolution of scintillation counters like those is rubbish, and spectroscopic results obtained with them can be misleading as a result. We initially used NaI just to surround high resolution Ge detectors to reject Compton scatte

Obligatory remark when this is referenced that it was specifically wrong about FORTRAN when written. As of FORTRAN77 you could index arrays as you like -- bounds of any integer -- potentially differently in different parts of the program.

You want tail call optimization, not just tail-recursion, i.e. mutually recursive functions.

You can build and publish repos for Debian (amongst others) on the OpenSUSE build system, though it's rather different from ppa and copr, for instance. Use osc(1) on Debian.

I think you're meant to make your own app, but I don't have permission anyway. Some applications have their own tenant id (?) and you can copy, e.g. davmail's from ~/.davmail.properties, or even copy the token you get f
