I paid quite a bit of money for my iPhone. If none of that got back to the people who made it, I would certainly like to know the reason why. It is not my policy to stiff people for their work.

My question here is how are you going to install your root certificate on a $300 smart TV? Or, if that is not required because the TV does not verify DoH certificates, how bad is that for security (which we already know is awful on these de

Definitely, but it’s the difference between losing $100 million or $99 million. They’ve already sustained the loss, the only thing to do now is try and offset it.

The insurers of the ship and/or cargo would be paying to salvage whatever value they can extract from the wreck, to reduce their losses. You’re right about the non-zero chance of insurmountable loss, which is why the owner of the ship

I guess it depends on exactly what point we consider the state of flying to have ended during a crash. The second the plane first makes contact with the ground, or after all of the fragments stop moving?

I think the point is anything on YouTube is manufactured. It’s not necessarily lies, but people have to be aware when they are watching a video about an electric truck or rescuing animals, the intent wasn’t to do that thing, the intent was

I completely understand the desire to use the newer instructions and get the most performance possible out of the latest hardware, but we also should make it a priority to keep a portable C codepath in all of these libraries. Otherwise we’r

This is what my objection really is. At best, the non-preposterous combinations will mean the same thing as the original. Most combinations will carry a different meaning or none at all. There's no reason to treat it like a search spac

The hyphen did not move, it is actually a different one. Zero-knowledge loses its hyphen when the phrase is compressed into an acronym, and a hyphen is added as a separator.

That is a very black-and-white metaphor. I agree that letting the wolves roam free is a naive and unworkable solution, but something needs to be done about the guard dogs eating the black sheep all the time, and the white sheep who think th
