But a 1000km radius around any major center in Europe covers a lot of potential destinations. I assume that a lot of people, especially in the US underestimate the density of Europe.

But these are all internal to the US. Trade partners still have to deal with the current administration and don't have any recourse.

This depends entirely on the length of the impulse response, doesn't it? A very short time domain convolution isn't actually more computationally expensive than a bank of crossover filters.

Well, and a single recorded impulse response is probably not enough, either, if you want to be super accurate. The directivity pattern is probably awful and shaping the sound as well. I know all of that. But I just didn't want to get i

Well, the output of the wave shaper approach in the article is exactly the same sharp digital square wave that you'd get from a trivial square wave generator. But I overlooked the point that the GP mentions that the processor source co

There is ome thing that I don't understand here: wouldn't implementing a custom square wave generator as an AudioWorkletProcessor be a more straightforward approach in this case?

I would like to read about the difference in the definitions of "freedom of speech" and "freedom of expressing one's opinion" with consideration of applicable case law. Right now, I don't see any real differenc

This is a quote from "Ignition!" The particular quoted passage from that book is one of the highlights of the unique ironic tone the author used to describe real and dangerous chemical research. The book firmly establishes its ton

That reminded me of a former colleague at the desk next to me randomly exclaiming one day that he had just fixed a bug he had created 20 years ago. The bug was actually quite funny in a way: it was in the code displaying the internal temper

I've seen plenty of these cars around Stuttgart and Munich. These patterns make it surprisingly hard to discern details in their shapes. Add to that the fact that early prototypes are deliberately padded to obscure their actual design

As a manager, you are always implicitly communicating from a position of power. That changes what you can and cannot say. It's not very hard to understand once you experience it from a manager's perspective, but I don't think

I don't see anything narcissistic about being a normal human being with natural empathy for the people they work with. Managing people does require emotional stability and self control, though. ICs tend to automatically defer to their

Just to reinforce how stable the desktop environment can be: - Qt has had a mostly stable interface since Qt 4.0 and that was twenty years ago. - Win32 has had barely any breaking changes since it was introduced with NT 3.1 in 1993 or so. M

SWF is really a complex, versatile executable format geared towards interactive media. It can contain program code, bitmap and vector graphics with animations, sounds, videos and probably a few other things I'm not aware of.

The prompt is a literary work independent of the system processing it. If the text is sufficiently elaborate, it is certainly copyright able. But the resulting image is still a different affair.

Two disjoint comments: 1. Film sets contain wild walls that can be easily removed to accommodate light and camera placement outside the space looking inwards. Wild walls in the dioramas could have prevented the necessity of cutting holes. 2

As a sibling post already mentioned, rasterization based hacks are incapable of getting as accurate lighting as path tracing can, given enough processing time. I will admit that I was a bit sly in that I omitted the word "realtime"
