What I don’t get is why routes need to make money. This is a public service, sure it’s a good thing to have it pay for itself but the focus shouldn’t be on that.

I was thinking the the same thing. My city (Chicago) and I assume many others, have pay per use subsidized bike sharing. How does liability work with that if someone falls on one of those?

I dunno, maybe compared to what were used to but just think about it, 7 years locked up not able to do anything you want, that's huge punishment to me. But I also argue most sentences should be shortened and replaced with programs to r

If you are just using the basic service for a firewall/DDOS protection and CDN there doesn't seem to be much lock in. If other competitors come along, and they undoubtedly will if Cloudflare proves the value of the market, it shou

Gotcha, that’s actually the time of peak demand and adding a whole new class of high power consumption during that time is indeed scary. In the UK for example where it’s tea time then as well and a bunch of people put on electric kettles. U

Electricity rates and demand are insanely low during the night. In fact whole sale rates can dip into the negatives where they will literally pay you to use electricity. Aluminum smelting plants run during this time. Even if everyone sudden

Personally one of the biggest red flags for me is when a developer doesn't use libraries and writes everything themselves. That opensource project with many contributors, that has been around for years is probably going to be better th

Are there any laws you bump into selling 0-days? Honest question, I know their are laws about the actual hacking part but is it illegal to sell the payload? Obviously this is ethically dirty money I just was curious if it's actually d

There definitively isn't a good case for Eyeo. See: First To File vs First To Use. The US is a First to Use country for trademark law. I'm not saying it's a clear and cut case at all but I'd actually bet on a Judge sidin

Using the PI Zero over an ESP doesn't negatively impact the experience using it. Whereas a very bloated website is going to be slow to load and use. I think there is a significant difference.

Nearly 98% of Japan's population is ethnically Japanese. There are multiple reasons for this but a big one is how long the country maintained isolation up until recently, historically. I don't know to answer your question, people
