just because it was held at $6, doesn't mean that is the fair market price. These Hedge funds had significant incentive to bankrupt this company. 300+ is most likely a bubble, but $50-$90 is completely reasonable looking at the fundame

how much is a $20 USD bill worth to you? Its a penny or less of cotton. obviously its not sustainable, we are entering a short squeeze. But capping at $4 a share shouldn't have been either, I think $60-$80 is a really reasonable assess

value of a stock is what the market dictates is the value of the stock, not what an analyst wants the price to be. It is laughable to say that Hedges were using purely "fundamentals" for the past 10 years. Were people in the finan

yeah I suppose I was considering what seemed at the time consensual, and separately sexual assault(which is not ambiguous at all). It was drilled into us at college and in the military that a woman can not consent if intoxicated, no matter

I thought I was more careful with my wording. I do not mourn the killers happiness to do things, just the lost potential to society. Granted I have no idea what potential the two innocents had as well, if they happened to be academics, I wo

something I've always been curious about and honestly not trying to be edgy. Why is it that with the choice of drunk driving, it is 100% rationally made and bears the full consequence of his actions, but when alcohol is involved in sex

without trying to seem lacking in empathy it is exactly that. I mourn for the loss of contribution to science and math.

Why? the science is clear on masks. That shouldn't need discussion. Hospitals are at or near capacity in many places. Do your civic duty for the country and wear a mask. Shutdowns and other things, sure discuss and debate

thanks for the informative post, the only qualm I have is that "wired" is an objective improvement. Obviously it is easier to get better quality with wired, but for many people, the benefits of wireless are a huge win over wired.

I think the strategy is to get rich in California then leave when your are financially secure. Very few software jobs in Texas have salaries in the 300-500k region.

From a speaker stand point that may be the case, but I'm sure Apple threw a lot more money for the electronic hardware and software integration. I'm not sure why 10 audio chips are needed from a technical standpoint but it is prob

how can you say imaginary numbers have intrinsically little to do with the 2D plane? it is entirely possible and equally correct to define imaginary numbers geometrically. It is nice and convenient that this is equivalent to the algebraic d

I wouldn't consider that the lead example. More like ML algorithms completely destroyed all benchmarks for computer vision algorithms and changed the direction of research completely.

car insurance doesn't remove liability, it will pay agreed upon sums of money to cover damages, but certainly anything criminal will still be pursued. And people can sue you for more than your insurance might cover.

not everything is supply and demand. we have a "mostly" 40 hour work week, not because that is what is needed for demand, but it is enforced by labor laws. I see no reason why there can't be a mandate to provide mental health

I think the unusual part is that it is not a limit of communication, it is time itself. With a tape, you know that it happened in the past, for this, both are experiencing their real present time, but they don't agree with each other.

I don't understand why this is said as a negative. Tech needs to expand to other parts of the country. If SF wants high taxes, so be it, let all participate in the competition of where to be located.

this is a tax on high pay roles, so I don't understand your concern. Also I hope and pray that it would cause companies to move, that is essentially working towards the same goal.

for me, the basic keybindings are what matter. I use a full fledged ide, but still have vim bindings. When you become comfortable enough, editing becomes quicker and more in line with my train of thought. Thought->action->code change
