Right. On the other hand, a Bash script has a low barrier to entry, it's handy not to have to install certificates on the client, and the highest possible security is not always top priority (if, for example, you're just trying to

If you let the placebo effect count — and why wouldn't you? — it pretty surely will have some effect. Even better, when combined with a consultation from a homoeopath, you're getting some informal counselling as well as a placebo.

I have a simple bash script that does something similar, including the Apple profile, and also gets you a Let's Encrypt server cert that auto-renews. https://github.com/jawj/IKEv2-setup

To be usable, SSH to a more powerful machine requires a good and stable connection. That's almost never available, in my experience. If I'm on my phone, I'm likely to be on trains/planes/in tunnels/in the count

You may be an outlier. I may be an outlier too. It's anecdote v anecdote. But the only Apple hardware I or my family ever had an issue with (out of 8 iPhones, 4 MacBooks, 2 iMacs, a PowerMac, an Apple TV, and various accessories) was a

I am currently running all my browsing through a self-hosted VPN on OVH's cheapest SSD (GBP £1.50/mo on Black Friday), and I'm happy so far. Bandwidth is limited to 100Mbps, but my home connection is 55Mbps, so no problem. In
