That’s interesting, thanks. Can I read up somewhere about these positional principles? It’s not immediately obvious to me why positions adjacent to the corner are so poor. EDIT: ah, I guess it’s because it gives the corner to your opponent.

Agreed. :) I made it mainly for pass-and-play, but perhaps one of these days I should try to implement an AI vaguely worthy of the name.

Indeed! I basically programmed it to do roughly what I (a total novice) do when I play. Mainly for when my kids want to play and I don’t (or am not around).

The link is at the end of the post: https://github.com/jawj/perfcompare I should maybe refactor them out into their own repo, though.

Likewise! My daughter played it at a friend’s house and enjoyed it, which is what reminded me and prompted me to make this.

This wholly depends on your use case. Most of my miles are done on long journeys. I live in a terraced house and can’t charge at home. UK charging infrastructure seems pretty underdeveloped so far. My 2018 petrol car does 600 miles on a tan

(1) I would find this very annoying. (2) I suspect for lots of files, lots of users wouldn't know which program to open.

Yes, GDP is famously crap. It wasn't developed as a number to be maximised, and we've known it makes no sense to maximise it ever since it was developed. Samuelson remarked along the lines that (old-fashioned gender roles alert)

Except with cars, that loss is against the sticker price. So if you get a good enough deal on your new car, it can in fact lose nothing when you drive it away (I got close to 1/3 off a new car in 2018, using a web-based buying agent, i

It should be, now that pg runs fine there. If it’s not, please file an issue! It also works with @neondatabase/serverless on platforms without TCP connections (though it’s on my TODO list to make this less fiddly): https://g

I believe the point is to avoid overheating (any of) the milk, because that changes its flavour. For example, tea made with UHT milk tastes very different (and, to me, much less nice) than tea made with pasteurised milk. When adding the tea
