I understand that. What I'm saying is that downvoting the guy is simply killing the messenger.

But who is making the accusations? The person who got the downvote or someone else?

I don't know why HN people downvote comments like yours. It seems you raise valid questions on your post. Anyway, I think Malekpour should not have worked on those things, even for moral reasons. You cannot reason with a snake. For the sam

What if you give us the phone number of the agent in question? Personally I think you made a horribly stupid decision to use GoDaddy, but it is what it is. Sounds like you need to launch a PR campaign about this. Tell your customers to call

The world would be a better place without this MG guy, and the daring fireball guy. Much venom comes out of there.

I'd phrase it slightly differently: "If you can build large scale systems and your systems are still running 6 months after release without large modifications, then that means you can simplify complex problems into several major simple pro

Kiyozaki has made a lot of money in real estate. And he does cooperate a lot with Trump: http://www.amazon.com/Why-We-Want-You-Rich/dp/B0013MN78Q/ref... At the very least they have written several books together.

You wrote exactly what I wanted to write in response to the article. This book I read a long time ago, and it truly opened my eyes to another way of thinking. For someone raised with an employee mindset (as I was), this book turns those not

What you say may be true, but it's no indicator (at all) of a weakness or invalidity in the book's message. Just look at any book that advocates healthy eating as a way to lose weight and be healthy. That's why the saying "You can lead a ho

Why is this 5-year old article submitted? It's not that well-reasoned either. It's written by someone that does not have that much knowledge in the field, and his reasoning is amateurish. Nothing interesting to see here.

In this day and age, if you think you can contain basic info such as your birth date unknown you are deluding yourself. It's as findable as you full name. Just go to the right background check company. They will have your birth date and muc

I see your point about making a statement by not being present on the social net. But I'm not about to alienate myself from the people I love in order to do so. So I stay in FB and only put stuff on there that can be put in the front page o

You hit the nail in the head: It's a license. A contract. You are allowed to use the software under the terms described. The user never "owns" anything.

The DOJ reports to the WH, so yes, law enforcement actions can certainly be initiated by the WH. The three branches of gov't are the executive, legislative, and the judicial branch. Law enforcement is under the executive, so it's entirely w

The answers in the article are pretty cool, except for the programming ones. Just like in programming, people try to get cute with conciseness and end up making pretty unfunny jokes. Once you have heard the word "idiot" in anything having t

Same for me. I whined about crapware that came with PCs just as everyone else, but with Vista and Win7, I noticed can just uninstall these programs as soon as I fire up the machine for the first time and no harm done.

Hmm, if you have an investor that dismisses a platform summarily because of his own biases, then the company is better off without that investor. The investor should ask "and why are you using that platform?" and then make an evaluation bas

Just curious: What activation key is "100" digits long? I've never run into such a one from MS. The really long activation keys I've run into are not from MS and are ones you can cut/paste (ie, not the ones used to install the OS fresh).

True. There comes a point where the time investment is more expensive than just buying a legal copy and installing it. And activating it. I've never had as hard a time activating stuff at the OP, though. When I buy a new machine I always or
