Last I checked, reddits redpill was almost 2 million subscribers big. That is to say, sleeping with as many women as possible while not marrying, or possibly having kids while not marrying and not cohabitating, is subreddit I last checked o

Unixporn is often too flashy for my tastes. Something like DWM with a CPU and RAM meter up top is often enough. Why we gotta mix compositors with 3D file system explorers and animated desktops is beyond my needs, but I'm atleast guilty

I mean, Fornite pulling China into this has got to backfire though, right? China is a huge profit center, and apple plays China's game because, well, money. It's like ratting out your older brother and getting beat up in the backy

-flto is great if your project is less than 15,0000 lines. Otherwise, -Ofast in conjunction with -flto creates a single threaded link time step that's longer than half a minute, and it only goes up from there

I see your point with opaque pointers though. They are great for code obfuscation when shipping libraries, and totally do require a header / source file split making unity builds not an option. It always amazes me how C can reach the h

True, but I typically build with link time optimizations (-flto) since I do a lot of software rendering, and this really hurts incremental builds too. I'll checkout your link, but as for polymorphism I've had good luck with doubly

I recently discovered unity builds, only applied to C, and I love the quick build times. 10,000 lines of code, included directly into main from other .c files, compiles in 1 second on my machine with -01 optimizations

True that, MPV is solid. Paperview gives me ~3% cpu usage and ~9% GPU usage on an old x230, while MPV gives me 40% cpu usage for a similar mp4. MPV works great on desktops with mp4s, while paperview is great for laptops and battery life if

I believe BMP loading is included into the core SDL2 library, but not other formats, which SDL_image remedies. Here is SDL_Surface.h. SDL_LoadBMP is just a macro using SDL_RWFromFile. https://github.com/SDL-mirror/SDL&#

So the animated wallpaper scene on linux is pretty bizarre. There are some popular methods out there like calling `feh --fill-bg` continuously in a bash loop but it sends your CPU usage to an astronomical 40% which drains the laptop battery

I've always wondered if we could leverage the vast amount of GitHub code - that assumably all compiles without error or undefined behaviour on their master branches - train some sort of neural net to better catch syntax errors. Has any
