High quality timber framed houses are built in Europe and the US. Bricks have a much larger carbon footprint, are more expensive, do not insulate as well as a wooden frames with proper insulation. Brick walls also take longer to assemble.

For me that is what makes such uses of wealth so shocking. Doesn't notch have a better idea just how much 70m is and what it could do for other people.

Tony Soprano is the protagonist. He has people killed and kills people. He isn't set up as a villain.

Yeah and the popularity of the Sopranos showed tacit approval of the American mobsters.

high-status men > high-status women > low-status women > low-status men. Going to need some evidence of that. Seems like bullshit.

Wouldn't this require quantum computing to be developed relatively gradually and in the open? Seems likely that a gov or company will suddenly reveal it or have it exposed.

That will not happen because current nuclear power just isn't economical without government guarrantees.

Could you describe how such a cross over could happen smoothly? Seems like there would be mass panic, all the mining rigs would have to re assemble etc.

I come from philosophy where the standard is to do full page text. It doesn't seem to harm readability there.

So I have a question about papers. It seems the standard in comp-sci and much of science to do two column layouts even for pages that are entirely text. Why is this?

Huh? We have a pretty good understanding of the externalised costs for these. There is no mystery for storing waste and there is a very strong understanding of how easy it is to decommission. What externalities are you talking about?

Coming from python and not knowing VB I found the Do Loop syntax tricky at first. I am used to a loop explaining how long it will run for at the top (similar to the for loop here). Being pseudocode I found it odd to mix loop syntax. One loo
