Meanwhile in English we have our own apostrophe catastrophe where it's become commonplace online to add one to a plural.

Housing the samples in a controlled environment for an extended period of time is likely way more expensive than sequencing. I suspect the samples are discarded once genotyped.

That doesn't mean the fabricated netlist doesn't work. I'm not supporting Google by any means, but the test should be: Does it fabricate and function as intended? If not, clearly gibberish. If so, we now have computers buildi

Nah, this is just doom and gloom based on persistent and pervasive messaging. On large geological timescales, our temperatures are pretty close to the mean. Even given the last 500 million years, we're nowhere near the peak [1]. Will h

I'm not sure if any of this actually saves you money. If anything, it may drive the algorithm to pair you with less than stellar drivers. In a customer retention phase, which Uber is in right now, the algorithm should aim to pair good

My quibble was about geometrics vs exponential, but beyond the mathematical distinction of discreteness, they are equivalent, so I stand corrected on that front.

The author has a feew things wrong. First of all, growth due to compounding is geometric, not exponential. He has the two used interchangeably when they are vastly different over any reasonable timeframe. Second, compounding isn't magi

I don't think it's impolite to ask a clarification question. Parents with their first child often have unrealistic expectations of development milestones. We want to get that out of the way first. Crucially, the OP has not provide

It's not just Apple. You can buy a forged spanner (and other tools) from China that can beat the pants off of any domestically made version. It's all about what the distributor/brand will pay for.

Just one quibble: Made in China doesn't automatically mean junk. Case in point: The iPhone. When it comes to Chinese manufacturing, they cater to all price points in the marketplace.

Agreed, but the OP's claim wasn't whether a university degree is needed for employment, the claim was whether a university trains you for a job. The answer to the latter is a no. Community colleges and trade schools train you for

Actually a university does neither. A university's job is to expose you to higher order thinking, and different ways of thinking. The rest is up to you.

The money's in the training, not the inference. If you look at Apple and Google, they already have their own hardware for inference in their smartphones. They don't need NVidia for that.
