Why not 15%? Or may be 5% will be enough. Actually, it’s a bad idea to plan time in such manner. If devs need, they should be able to refactor/fix things during normal development process without any “just 10%”.

My regrets abouts current eEnk readers: 1) Too heavy(for 10”) - 400 grams and more. Too wide borders. Still 2 cm on Kindle Oasis! 2) Low level of UX, compared with modern tablets - slow screen refresh, touch events comfort far away from tab

The main reason is easy “to plug and play” various tools, i.e react, websockets, graphql, webpack etc. That’s not related to frontend only, but kubernetes devops are also crying from complexity.
