I believe the problem might be more common when exporting data from one system to another. I've written code to migrate (and merge) large datasets from old legacy systems. I needed quite a lot of heuristics and "best-effort"

Lately I've found out that multiprocessing will not help you if your program is multithreaded. There is no sane way of forking a multithreaded program. For one, the child process will inherit a copy of all locks in the state they where

I expected the article to be about the goodness of some peer-to-peer architecture that doesn't require central servers, not a twisted definition of cloud computing.
