I used a Windows 8 machine the other day. I've used OSX the last few years, but used Windows for a couple of decades prior. I was so confused. It was difficult to work out how to open apps. I also got stuck in the full screen start men

I disagree with "insanely high". There are junior, mid and senior roles out there on the market. I can't comment specifically on this course, but there are courses which provide the groundwork for a junior role in the space o

Interesting that these pages avoid any direct reference to Windows 8. It's only referred to as "the new Windows".

For those wondering... "Bitcoin days destroyed for any given transaction is calculated by taking the number of Bitcoins in a transaction and multiplying it by the number of days it has been since those coins were last spent."

I'd second that. Great site! Not understanding the reported concerns regarding OAuth, usability, etc. Works for me. Only problem I'm hitting is 500 errors, which I assume is because the server is getting smashed. Good problem to h

My vote goes to 'feature' too. However, I didn't know about this behaviour, so perhaps Google should have a tooltip explaining what it parses.

50GB free for 3 months a year and then $10 per 50GB over... how very reasonable. The typical ISP in Australia "shapes" down to between 128-512kpbs. I've thankfully never experienced it, but I dread the day. If the topic here

I don't envy the licence negotiations they must go through, but I'm always disappointed when these announcements are country limited. In their defence, I notice that the blog is name spaced as "US". Still, boo.

As an Aussie, sad to see a homegrown company head overseas. Can understand why though. 30% corporate tax, lower EBITDA: Market Cap and I'm sure plenty of red tape. Tis a shame.

Has anyone tried QuickOffice? Google bought the company/app to bulk up its office doc editing abilities. It's been on android for years and from what I can see, it's now built in to ChromeOS. Perhaps this covers the more comp

Thought the same as the above, but also have an issue with the design decision to use dots as placeholder text. Conventionally, dots indicate that text had already been entered into a (password) field. Even though they are slightly greyed,

I'm not a bike rider, so can't comment much on the utility, but I think there's some utility in generalising the application of the devices. Tile is taking a while to get to market, but is quite nicely generalised. The trick
