I believe you're conflating 'living-wage' with communism. Those are pretty different animals.

Not exactly. Uberpool drivers still don't want to actually go to the destination the customer does. Google's offer appears to be trying to coordinate cars of people who are all trying to get somewhere.

I think the obvious question is how much research is it and how much is it just Oracle trying to give Google a hard time. A lot of people and/or press probably have a hard time distinguishing.

Not to offend, but "consistent on it's own" is a poor way to say "not consistent" in the way that matters.

The counter argument is that developer time can cost a lot more than that. If Rails makes me faster, my company might save a lot of money. Obviously how much it makes me a faster developer versus how much performance I pay depends on the de

Just because your cheap home router does it doesn't mean it scales to thousands of users on one router. Some home routers are actually quite capable AND very unsaturated. I'm not trying to defend carriers but it is a very apples t

I think you're being pretty harsh. I don't have a death wish, I ride my bike frequently in SF because I love to ride, it's great exercise, it's by far the fastest way to get to work, and it's one less bicyclist-kill

GP is not saying mixins solve that problem, they are saying that it further obfuscates where the method is being delegated to. You have to search all the mixins to see who defines the method you are looking for.

Whenever I get back into Clojure and use type hinting, I usually forget that Clojure doesn't allow ints, only longs. Kind of a strange choice given the JVM supports signed variants of the common word lengths. But then I read articles l
