In Japan, it's extremely common to use the Tokyo Dome as a unit of area, one very specific building that most people haven't seen in real life, let alone entered it.

I think GP is talking about how "Shutdown the computer" does not, in fact, shutdown the computer (it puts it in a suspended/hibernated state).

Not Zoom interviews, but there are Youtube videos of people messing up with other people on Omegle, with a fake skip screen. From the point of view of the pranked, what happens is they get to someone that ends up skipping them, get a differ

You forgot another one: portion sizes. Seriously, just focusing on this would help a lot IMO.

It feels to me that for "end" to be used as the two ends of the week, it would be weekends (plural), not weekend (singular).

Also, if you start in March, it suddenly makes sense that leap year adjustments are done in February (and also that it's the shortest month to begin with).

I'd posit that there's almost certainly a way to design a study in such a way to get the opposite result.

Now that you mention it, faceid had to be setup... I don't remember how that happened, though.

The Nintendo Switch has an ARM64 CPU, which means the biggest part of porting to that CPU is now done. Does it mean we can expect an Apple Silicon mac build some time soon(ish)?

This is missing one major thing that helps understand actually spoken Japanese: ら抜き(ranuki), the fact that most people drop the ら in られる. So, e.g. たべられる becomes たべれる. There's an extra る in 降るられた, BTW.

If you're only using syscalls on macOS, you're fine too, as far as libSystem is involved. You're not fine if newer kernels change the syscall ABI, though.

Things like this are true on Linux too. Don't call the clone syscall manually because it will mess up with glibc internals.

Tangentially: Youtube really likes to turn CC on randomly on its own, even when it's explicitly disabled. Both in the mobile app and the website.

There are some types of merges that pijul would handle better, but technically, git could too, if it spent more time on them.
