I'm going to give it a go with the old pencil / paper. Hopefully, if it works and then fizzles away, it'll fizzle because i've gained the benefit. Six months tho - might be tough.

I hear what you're saying but ... have you tried it? Seems like a simple enough exercise. Heck, maybe I'll try it.

Have you tried writing a sample project? It took me a few tries to really understand the problem that these framework solve.

A solid understanding of React is helpful. Mastery of React completely unnecessary.

I think what they're saying is since the article says this "Shadow DOM provides a way to scope CSS styles to a specific DOM subtree and isolate that subtree from the rest of the document." if we could just make CSS namespace

How much time do you spend being a mod / working for free? Genuinely curious.

Yes. Native mobile would be a great side project coming from web dev. You'll learn new languages and tools which for me helped me become better web dev.

I've been working on a side project now for about 8 months. By far the longest for me. Whats worked this time is I don't work on it every day and sometimes I'll only write a few lines of code if only to keep the momentum goin

W3Schools battles css-tricks and mdn for first spot on search results for most of my searches (I'm a front end dev). I agree that their certificates are completely worthless but the site isn't as terrible as it used to be.

I wouldn't have cared as much if I were not a parent - shitty to say but its true - the thought of children tugging on their parents while the parent is being shipped off or sold i mean. My gosh.

Your comment reminded me of my time as a mortgage broker back in 2006. Borrowers it seemed knew more about the lax loan products but once things went south people screamed they had no idea.

Is it regarding product or code? Perhaps try changing how you deliver the message. Ultimately if its an issue of your peers not respecting you and therefore tuning out your message well that is almost impossible to overcome.

There has been a ton of whining over the years about native vs some JS framework and I'm tired of the shit too. Now I can't speak for your QT but I can for IOS. Do you know how much easier it is to learn swift + xcode vs learning

I can't fully agree with this. The goal is to get paid. Angular and React pay the bills. Where I am in agreement is not just understanding the framework but understanding how the stack of tools which make up your framework works. Joel

Bootstrapping a proof of concept, or a very early version of an app, definitely is still very much relevant. Bootstrap aids in this. And I think it is widely accepted that if you have an app that you'll eventually scale it needs to be
