I'm pretty sure using PS5 for mining is probably not a profitable approach. Especially with the current shortages and the number of scalpers.

We're currently in the process of moving from MongoDB to CockroachDB. It's not been easy. Certain persistence needs to be duplicated for both of them. Certain queries need to be compared between the two, and we need to make a cons

Right. Good luck having a conversation as the channel grows. There's been several times where I've joined a channel, asked a question, and my question is gone from the screen before anyone is able to answer. Slack/Discord are

I just wish people would use a system that's integrated into where the code is. I don't want to have to register for a forum when GitHub has a perfectly good ticketing system (and now discussions), and yet I have to register at an

I've been a Linux user for some 10 years, but have also had to use a Macbook Pro for a while due to work. There's nothing stopping you from fully configuring macOS through a single repository similar to how you do Linux. For a whi

Both of those have vim plugins. Highly recommend it. It gives you the power of an IDE, with the speed and much of the flexibility of Vim.

I mean, that's a common difference between a SaaS and a self-hosted solution. For a SaaS service a block list can include *.somesaas.com vs a self-hosted service that has it's own domain per owner, meaning you'd have to add e

What the sibling comment said, but also, the minimum wage is still $7.25, with some companies only now pushing this up to ~$15. For many, including married couples, $24 an hour is a pipedream.

At current minimum wage, saving 20k will take years and years. Most non-tech folks just do not earn enough to save. It's not that they don't want to, or choose not to. It's that they don't have disposible income. 5% is c

5% is still $20k. When you're living payslip to payslip, even $5k is too much as a deposit is too much.

Docker doesn't do pods, pods are just a collection of containers. Docker's whole thing is containers plus some enterprise tooling on top of it. Pods are the smallest deployable units in Kubernetes. No one said Docker supports pods

Money isn't everything? So you're okay with working for less year over year? Before you know it, you'll be earning less than usual and due to inflation your salary won't cover it. I dislike loyalty to any company because

I don't know about syntax errors (I've seen them fail silently), however, at least with ViolentMonkey and Firefox, you can use an external editor for development and for debugging you can step through using the debugger.
