Huh? It's a genuine question. The article is great and the writer did a fantastic job. Please try to give people the benefit of the doubt though I know it's hard in today's society.

Any plans to tackle any of the other folks who might be mentioned in the same sentence as Altman, like Darius Amodei?

Pretty sure it's still gone and you should be using effort level now for this.

TBH I'm not sure this is where dev is going. It's pretty annoying to have to read what can be pretty verbose LLM output on a 5 inch screen. It's useful for certain tasks if you don't have to read too much and just need t

Can you just tell it not to do that? Maybe you have to remind it every so often once context starts filling up.

I think in general we need to be highly critical of anything LLMs tell us.

I wonder how much of this is simply needing to adapt one's workflows to models as they evolve and how much of this is actual degradation of the model, whether it's due to a version change or it's at the inference level. Also,

I disagree. You're using a 3D printer in both cases. 3D printers print three-dimensionally, as they do. Requiring assembly is more of a qualifier. It isn't just set-it-and-forget-it the way a single piece is.

I don't disagree with you entirely. But we're not powerless. I'd argue that we saw the impact we can have when we act collectively when Trump tried to pressure ABC into cancelling Jimmy Kimmel. It took ABC a few days maybe be

I'm going to place an order for the book right now. I encourage you all to do the same. We the people hold the power to keep in check the immoral companies, governments, and other unscrupulous entities that would exploit the collective

I think the headline is fine tbh. Ikon is doing some pretty cool things and perhaps there's a different nomenclature for 3D printing something as one piece (without any seams or assembly) but is something any less 3D-printed because it

Would be curious if it is more polished than Conductor. Memory leaks and random bugs seem to crop up in Conductor far too often.

It's the same as it's always been and yet it's different. The political environment we live in today is not what it was even a few years ago let alone decades.

You say all it takes is for the legislature to pass the laws and seem to assume our government is functioning as expected without any bugs. And yet we’re talking about an extremely well-connected and powerful industry in PE. Do you really t

I find it interesting that you assume ill intent as the default when I was genuinely asking for actionable steps we could take to address a very real problem. Perhaps consider giving people the benefit of the doubt instead of projecting you

Yes, this is really what I was referring to. And the fact that the original comment I was replying to mentioned "modded Chinese hardware" from some unspecified, unvetted 3rd party which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence

True. I was specifically referring to "modded Chinese hardware" from some unknown, unvetted third party versus say through a well-known brand that hopefully has its own rigorous QA and security processes in place.

I can't say I'm as knowledgeable of Chinese history as you seem to be, so I appreciate the information. And I may have used less than accurate phrasing when I said that I thought Chinese people are likely unhappy to be in a repres
