You mean without marking all the atoms as "object"? Clojure is written in Java and is dynamically typed. I experimented with statically typed linked-lists in Saccharin https://github.com/gilch/saccharin but r

From the Hissp FAQ: https://hissp.readthedocs.io/en/v0.2.0/faq.html#i-got-here-f... They’re both Lisps that can import Python, but Hissp has a very different approach and philosophy. I was also a major contributor

Hissp, with its bundled reader Lissp, is a Lisp dialect that compiles to Python. It's fully interoperable with Python, because it compiles to Python. And it has macros! The docs include tutorials, if you want to try it out. It came up

Yes, it helps. Youtube tutorials can get you started on a topic quickly. But it's only a start. Textbooks and real coding practice are better long-term because they go in depth. YouTube talks are also good for keeping up with new thing

Recall that Python has assignment expressions `:=` now: https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0572/ Even before that, I had a "let" in Drython: https://github.com/gilch/drython&#x

Python DOES have multiline lambdas! It's a common misconception that lambdas have to all be on one line. They don't. What lambda's can't have are statements . Lambdas are restricted to a single expression due to their

You can actually set this to a higher number in the sys module. Maybe not too high if you don't like segfaults.

It does at least act like it has closures. Try starting the REPL with $ hy --spy and you can see how examples get compiled.

It doesn't. Or does the same way as Python: imperative loops. TCO is a key feature of Scheme, but not of Lisps in general. Clojure doesn't have it. You can always trampoline like Clojure's loop does.
