Not for the time you're on vacation. Explicitly, no one expects you to "make up" for that time, and you might even get a few days or so (depending on your vacation length) to ease back in.

In other words: we expect you to deliver 100% of the time at 100%+, constantly, throughout the year. So if you take vacation, you better work your ass off when you come back to make up for it. That's the difference from normal PTO.

Can you build a viable society on volunteer work alone? I'm sure there are a few (1:million) saints among us that just selflessly give their all, but why would anyone else take any shit from their boss or customers? I like fantasies to

Heard from a friend that they'll now need GM+ level approval for a 4 week vacation :). Overall, this seems like a net negative for employees; add a level of stress / guilt to what used to be a simple use of earned / accrued b

Talked to a friend there, they don't seem to happy about it. Apparently, you need GM+ level approval for a vacation of 4 weeks. They regularly saved vacation days for a couple of years then take a guilt-free, earned 6-7 week European v

Since we were talking the other day about Dumb / Smart TVs and how they might spy on you without ever joining your WiFi. I'm 100% sure Sidewalk will be used for this purpose (if it's not already).

I wish a reputable manufacturer would just make "dumb TVs" (aka monitors). I don't even need a TV tuner, just a display panel with the latest HDMI, ARC and CEC support such that I can control all features from my media player

To play the devil's advocate, why would Azure be liable for OP's security lapse? This would've been much easier if someone stole your credit card and bought things with it (the CC company would help with the chargeback).
