The iOS app has also gotten pretty buggy. Not a great sign for the future of software, in terms of stability.

I wonder if there’s a point at which AWS decides it would be more financially responsible to make lower margins in order to keep more customers.

Only because those who make everything political take it as an offense. See also “silence is violence”.

Idk if any use these today because I haven’t used one in years, but I’d do things that improve trust and quality: - high cost - human verification, background check, personality assessment - mandate profile “about me” video - “things that i

Looking forward to most posts having “No AI” tagged on. Definitely a huge plus.

A domain name would be a good start :) Also maybe a problem statement at the top (eg rampant AI slop, clout pressure, security).

I just don’t understand why it’s so hard to keep these things from saying stuff like “yeah kill yourself” and “I’m an AI that’s come to life and I’m gonna destroy humanity”. Clearly they can steer its behavior away from “problematic” topics

And ironically, the founding fathers did exactly that. The colonies were only started having land stolen and having their property and work taxed shortly after the formation of the federal government.

It’s kind of funny how the idea of behavior being a result of breeding goes out the window when it comes to pitbulls. Retrievers naturally retrieve, collies naturally herd, but when a murder-canine eats a family it’s all “oh it could have b

A little disingenuous to say “only 3/40” maintainers. Which 3? And how percentage of the total work hours invested per month do those 3 represent?

The fact that you mentioned butter and not synthetic dyes, glyphosate, seed oils, or literally anything else is part of the problem (ie corporate capture).

It should be said that those who push the virtue signaling into the ridiculous territory are actually endangering black/brown/trans by the backlash they’re creating. Consider how much race relations have worsened since Obama was i

I would look at the real value of the dollar before assuming the real value of it went up. With how bad [actual] inflation is/will be, it wouldn’t be surprising if your pension actually dropped in real value.
