This is the sole reason I use reddit on my phone. I keep a tab for AskReddit, open something for later if the title seems interesting enough, and at least skim the thread within a few days. No app, no login, old-style UI. Since my brain is

It feels like a semantically-strained take, but I think Twitter is more of a place for people to say things, than it is for having conversations. Most people seem to use the site to broadcast something to their audience without really engag

I used to spend a lot of time on youtube, in part because I had the free time to spend on it, and had gaps in my schedule that were convenient for watching certain content creators. Since moving into the workforce, my free time is no longer

I've heard some people say that the stereotypical jock types, like a football team captain, are often pretty bright individuals. Meanwhile, I am a moderately-intelligent software developer who pulled 280lbs on a deadlift the other day,

The self-quotes really threw me off once I realized they were self-quotes. Most of them seem like self-comments, which would feel better if added as some sort of sidebar instead of interrupting the content.

I was looking at SFF cases, so I keep an eye open for lesser-known ones. I was willing to add another to the list of contenders, but I just don't get why that site asks for a password, and shows only one image of something that they&#x

As a userbase increases, the lowest common denominator falls. I don't have any estimates on the rates of change, but consider how huge Reddit and some of the default subs are, and how half of those people are below-average intelligence

I feel like anti-cults are never as strong as the cult itself, and will rarely ever be. A cult is a portion of society following something or someone, and I feel like it encompasses people from suggestible fans to fanatics. An anticult can&

I feel like we should kill 2 birds with one stone: Bats and bat guano. Guano used to be mined for gunpowder, to the point where the US annexed a few islands after the Guano Islands Act of 1856. If bat guano is usable as fertilizer, we could

That's the direction most 'journalism' takes. Minimal effort, lots of filler to pad out space, the one thing you actually cared about buried in the second-to-last paragraph, but not completely answered. The biggest example of

Add enough sugar to a flavored drink, and some American[0] is going to say they love it. Make it cheap, and they'll keep coming back for it. [0]No ill will, just an observation and generalization.

I recently got into using tomato powder, have you ever tried it? It would mean more work, but much more shelf-life and granularity of how much tomato you actually want.

I feel like AI/ML and some pre-rigged models could be used to build a web-hosted sitcom. It would take a lot of technical work, and a lot of writing chops to make it watchable, but it could be done. Look at Space Ghost: Coast to Coast,

For gaming, stereo headphones seem to be best, imo. I've had the same pair of Crossfade LPs for several years, and they give great (as far as I can tell) spatial awareness in games, without any special features.
